Bhd., the authorised private dealer of Volvo Buses in East Malaysia, has marked a significant milestone with the official launch of four units of the Volvo B11R 370 (Euro 5) in Miri. The launch brings together representatives from Volvo Buses, Miri Belait Transport Sdn. Bhd. and Dai Lieng Machinery Sdn. Bhd., as well as valued customers and industry partners, to celebrate the introduction of these new buses into Miri Belait Transport’s fleet.

The Volvo B11R 370 (Euro 5) is powered by Volvo’s D11C 10.8-litre, 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine, delivering 370 hp (278 kW) and 1,790 Nm of torque at 950 rpm. The engine uses SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology and meets Euro 5 emission requirements.

The D11C engine range is designed to provide high power and considerable torque across a wide rev range, contributing to good drivability and fuel-efficient operation. The B11R 370 is equipped with Volvo I-Shift automated transmission, supporting smooth and efficient power delivery during operation.

SAFETY AND BRAKING

The B11R specification includes a range of safety and braking systems, including Collision Warning with Emergency Brake (CW-EB), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Electronic Braking System (EBS 5), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Acceleration Slip Regulation (ASR), Hill Start Aid and Brake Assistant.

The B11R is also equipped with systems such as brake temperature warning, poor brake performance warning and lining wear sensing and analysis, supporting greater awareness of the vehicle’s braking condition during operation.

The D11C engine is available with Volvo Engine Brake (VEB) as an option, providing additional braking effect that can help improve safety and reduce wheel brake wear.

The Volvo B11R 370 (Euro 5) is available in a 4×2 configuration and features air suspension, with two air bellows at the front and four at the rear. The model also offers optional kneeling functionality.
